Romania's high-voltage grid: a developer's guide

Transelectrica's 400, 220 and 110 kV network explained for battery, solar and wind developers.

Who runs the grid

Transelectrica runs the transmission grid at 400 and 220 kV. Regional distributors run the 110 kV network and below.

Connections

Developers request a technical connection permit (ATR). Many nodes in Dobrogea are already heavily booked, so planned upgrades matter.

Note

Gridscouter scores are estimates from open map data, not grid operator capacity figures. Confirm connection capacity with the grid operator.
