Regional deep dive: Pomerania energy hub

Offshore wind landing points and nuclear plans in northern Poland.

Offshore wind

Pomerania is the landing point for Poland's massive offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea. This requires new high-voltage substations and links.

Nuclear power

The first Polish nuclear power plant is planned for Choczewo in Pomerania. This will transform the regional grid into a major power injection point.

Grid reinforcements

PSE is building several new 400 kV lines to carry power from the coast to the industrial centers in the south.

Industrial opportunity

The availability of green power is attracting energy-intensive industries to the region, creating demand for new data centers and factories.
