Substations are scored on sunshine, flat or south-facing land, grid voltage and how much solar is already connected. Each site gets a suggested size in MWp.
Where to look
Lazio, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia have the best combination of sunshine and land. Check connection queues before securing land.
