How support schemes, concessions and market premiums work for renewable projects in the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska.
Two systems
Energy policy is set mostly at entity level. Both the Federation and Republika Srpska have moved from feed-in tariffs toward market premiums awarded through auctions for larger projects.
Concessions
Larger wind and solar projects on public land often need a concession. Several Herzegovina projects listed on the Gridscouter forecast hold signed concessions.
Selling the power
Without support, projects sell on the market or through PPAs, often with prices linked to the Hungarian HUPX exchange. This is a general overview, not legal advice; rules change often.
